Lipstick was recorded at OK Records recording studio in Nyack with famed audio engineer Greg Talenfeld (Pavement, John Spencer Blues Explosion) and mastered at Super Giraffe Sound in Brooklyn by Ivan Julian (Richard Hell & the Voidoids, The Clash). The new release will stream on all digital platforms, accompanied by a video conceived Andy Gilchrist and Louie Zhelesnik.

Early media reactions describe “a lovely tender vocal performance” and a “cool trippy psych infused… set of guitar work.” Noted blogger MP3 Hugger declared it “another slice of wonder…reminiscent of Nico," while UK blogger CLOUT credited Psych-O-Positive with producing “uber cool indie rock.”

Psych-O-Positive caps off the summer of 2024 with a sonic psychedelic release, following a slew of live performances across New York City and New Jersey (Berlin, Finnegan’s, Pet Shop: NYC, Hoboken, Jersey City, respectively). The night of music on Thursday August 8th at 503 Social Club where the Psych-O’s Stones-Swamp swagger meets Amanda Thorpe’s melodic and sublime acoustic originals, promises a fun night of music. Come celebrate the Psych-O’s first of many releases from their recent Nyack recording sessions.
